Important updates about macOS 10.15 Catalina and Windows 10
Seasons Greetings!
Thanks for reaching out to us in regards to the Catalina Upgrades.
Our team is in the tail end of testing compatibility, performance and working out issues with macOS 10.15 Catalina.
Apple seems to have resolve and addressed many (but not all) issues and bugs with its newest incremental update macOS 10.15.2.
One of the most important tasks our team needs to schedule prior to the SupportMyMac Catalina Roll-Out, is an application and software audit on each and every single Mac our team supports. Due to macOS 10.15 Catalina's lack of 32-bit app support, this is causing havoc in our testing and client base when it comes to our marketing firms, graphic design firms and clinics. We can almost certainly guarantee your workstations still utilize more than one 32-bit application.
*To verify this yourselves, you can start with a click on the Apple symbol on the top left hand side of your screen > hold down the option key on your keyboard > select System Information > scroll down the left hand dashboard to the Software section and select Applications. In the displayed results, you will be able to filter the 32-bit apps installed on the Mac.*
We will schedule these upgrades with each individual client in a controlled and systematic approach to minimize risks and ensure a quality deployment. Though we appreciate the notifications can be annoying, we encourage you to wait and kindly ask for your patience. Once it's time, we will reach out to schedule the upgrades with each of your individually.
